Craft Fair aftermath...

It has a been a crazy 10 days for me... I took a trip to Tokyo (you can enjoy my blog post about that at www.jessicaguthrie.com, I'll be posting there as soon as I am done here...) and the day after I got home was the Iwakuni Craft and Information Fair, which went very well, I thought.

I was fortunate to also have some custom orders from the fair, so I got started right away. I can;t show the album I crated yet... it's a gift and I don;t want to ruin the surprise! But I did create this gender-neutral album and personalized the one below for a friend's baby shower.

I love the alliteration with "Cutie Pie Camila," I hope her parents do, too! ;)

"Origins" Album...

There was a lot of interest in this mini album when I posted a sneak peek last week. I created it with Basic Grey's "Origins" line from last year... and line I just fell in love with but hadn't had time to work with until recently. I was also in a sort of creative rut, so I started Googling for project ideas. This helps me to remember techniques I haven't used in a while, I learn new ones. When I Googled for the Origin line, this video popped up and inspired me to create the Origins album. It's a little more flowery than my usual style, but it's good to break out of routine, don't you think? More pictures are below.

This album is roughly 6x6 inches and has a total of 10 panels. It is $55 and will be available at the Craft and Information Fair.

Circus Birthday!

Chanel is a busy Mom who is getting ready to PCS out of Iwakuni and back to the states in just a few days. She was running out of time to finish her son's first birthday photo album and came to me with the cute Stampin' Up! paper and embellishments she had planned to use, asking if I could help. Within 48 hours, I had this 8x8-inch album ready for her to take on the plane with her. It's got two pockets for keepsakes and can hold at least 25 photos, plus there is plenty of room to journal. I am so glad I was able to help her out! One less thing on her list of things to do before she leaves!

So, keep in mind that not only do I create original albums and home decor, but I also do custom work and can help you finish projects you are running out of time to complete!

Getting ready for the Craft and Info Fair!

I am gearing up for the April 20th Iwakuni Craft and Information Fair, as are a number of other local business owners and crafters. For those of you who may not have heard, the fair is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Crossroads Mall. I haven't had time to take photos of what I am working on yet, but I'll post some pictures soon. Meanwhile, consider registering for the May Crafts and Cocktails Kit, "Sakura Season." This would be a great album for your favorite cherry blossom photos, or to give to a friend who is PCSing. For kit details, and information about the free class on May 7 if you want help putting the kit together, click on the Kits, Classes and Events tab above.
